In the year 2000, our CEO embarked on a remarkable journey, starting in his parents' basement with a vision and a handful of corporate surplus Pentium 2 laptops. It was the humble beginnings of what would become an industry-leading enterprise.

From Basement to Business: Beginning with the resale of Pentium 2 laptops and other computer equipment, our CEO learned the ropes of the electronics industry and honed his entrepreneurial spirit. This early phase laid the foundation for Desktop Disposal's future success.

2001, Small Warehouse, Big Dreams: With determination and growing demand, our CEO rented a small warehouse to receive truckloads of equipment. This marked the transition from a one-person operation to a thriving business, dedicated to responsible electronics handling.

2002, Building a Strong Team: Recognizing the importance of teamwork, our CEO embarked on the journey of training and hiring employees. Their expertise and dedication became instrumental in delivering top-notch services to our valued customers.

2008, Custom Inventory Tracking: Recognizing the need for efficiency and accountability, our CEO oversaw the development of custom inventory tracking software. This innovative solution enabled the barcoding of every item, allowing for seamless tracking from pickup to receiving, testing, resale, and recycling.

2010, Scaling Up: As the company continued to grow, our CEO made the strategic move to a larger warehouse, accommodating the increasing volume of equipment and expanding service offerings.

2010, Nationwide Reach: Desktop Disposal's commitment to customer satisfaction led to the expansion of services, including nationwide pickup. This development ensured that our services were accessible to clients across the entire country.

2019, Diverse Services: Our CEO's visionary leadership led to the inclusion of X-Ray machine and solar panel disposal services. This expansion aligned with the company's mission of environmental responsibility and comprehensive electronics management.

Operations Manager

Hailing from the Arbor Day Village of Adams, New York, Gregory likes to think that he was destined to have a role in an environmentally conscious career. Growing up in the birthplace of the inventor of Arbor Day, planting trees and enjoying forestry was part of his lifeblood as a child, and you would often be able to find him in the woods and creeks that are prevalent in that part of the world. He was a celebrated journalist for the Future Farmers of America before the age of 12, and was one of the youngest published FFA journalists in the state of New York for a time. Much like Julius Sterling Morton, the founder of Arbor Day, Gregory found himself relocating from Upstate New York to Nebraska, and from there began a journey that culminated (after many, many stops across 9 different states in 13 years) in him coming to call Marietta, Georgia home.

Gregory knew little about electronics recycling before joining Desktop Disposal (then TBF Computing, Inc.) at the age of 25. Building on his foundational knowledge from a background in corporate customer service and hospitality, he now has ten years experience with Desktop Disposal and has spearheaded some of the company's largest enterprise-level projects. In his spare time, you can find him advocating for the houseless community in conjunction with local churches and outreach programs, performing a social experience of his own design called Love Hugs and Flowers (On IG @lovehugsandflowers), and heading up volunteer security for Georgia's largest charity event dedicated to the preservation of North Georgia's hemlock trees from the decimation caused by the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid. His passion for customer service and the environment have made him an excellent asset for Desktop Disposal, and we hope that you can utilize his enthusiasm and expertise for your recycling needs as well!
